‘Duggan names cabinet’

DETROIT — Mayor-elect Mike Duggan has named his cabinet, according to a Fox 2 news report. Reportedly, Lisa Howze will serve as chief of staff; Ike McKinnon, deputy mayor; Butch Hollowell, corporate counsel; John Hill, chief financial officer Charlie Beckham will oversee the Department of Neighborhoods; and Gary Brown will remain in Operations, currently part of EM Kevyn Orr’s office. Duggan spokesperson John Roach denied the report. “Only after the Mayor-elect’s agreement with the Emergency Manager is finalized would he be able to begin making appointments,” Roach told the Michigan Citizen.
