UNCF Walk/Run comes to Detroit’s Belle Isle

Staff report The Michigan office of the United Negro College Fund will celebrate the organization's 70 years of getting students to and through higher education at its 26th annual UNCF Walk for Education Aug. 24 at the Belle Isle Casino in Detroit. Currently, the UNCF reports they support more than 60,000 students at hundreds of colleges and universities across the nation. Walk for Education participants can walk or run a 5k course of individuals or form teams. Early registration fees are $25 for adults and $15 for students.
