The event commemorates the late Yvonne C. Butler who helped found Detroit Bass Day, and Don Davis, the pioneering music producer who passed in June. Organizers expecting it to be the largest gathering of bass players ever photographed. Last year, the photograph was taken in front of the Motown Museum, with over 100 bass players showing up with their instruments to be a part of Detroit music history. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $35 for VIP. All tickets will include a tour of the USSS studio. Raffles will be held throughout the day featuring items contributed by the event’s sponsors, with bass guitar equipment and accessories as prizes.
