The Brightmoor Farmway on Grayfield Street was another highlight of the tour — an innovative stretch of community-supported gardens and art providing a haven of green space and fresh produce in the residential district. The Forward Arts program was established in 2010 to help initiate art programs in the Detroit community. The College for Creative Studies’ program “community+public arts:DETROIT” also supports public arts initiatives to bring creative expression to neighborhoods in need.
