Detroit Police released the following statement this evening regarding the special curfew enforced until 6 a.m. June 24:
"As of 9 p.m. the Detroit Police Department has detained a total of 77 Juveniles for curfew violation at the 56th Annual Ford Fireworks event. Parents can pick up their children at the 4th Precinct located at 4700 W. Fort Street.Just a reminder, a citywide curfew is in effect for all minors ages 17 and under and will continue until 6 a.m. on June 24, 2014. Youths who are out during this period without their legal guardian are subject to detention by police for violation of the City's Emergency Curfew Ordinance, for disorderly conduct, and/or for other crimes."
