2nd Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 13 at approximately 3 p.m. in the area of Rangoon and Alaska, officers were on patrol and observed a green Chevy occupied by three males turn without signaling. Officers performed a traffic stop and observed the suspects making suspicious movements, as if they were hiding something. Upon approach, officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers recovered a knotted sandwich bag containing 37 foil wraps of suspected narcotics from the driver. The suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Dentition Center for processing.
3rd Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 13 at approximately 2:55 p.m. in the 19000 block of Omira, while officers were checking a narcotic complaint at a vacant residence, they heard people running inside of the location. Upon investigation, officers observed two suspects running out of the rear door, where one was subsequently detained. The second suspect ran out of the rear, then back inside to the front of the location and was detained. Upon further investigation, officers recovered one sandwich bag containing numerous loose chunks of suspected cocaine from suspect 1 and three clear zip lock bags of suspected cocaine from suspect 2. Both suspects were arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.
5th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 12 at approximately 4:15 p.m. in the Mack and Bewick area, officers were patrolling the area due to previous narcotic activity. Officers observed a suspect wearing dark clothes walking in the middle of street. Officers observed the suspect behaving suspiciously and holding his right side. Officers stopped to investigate. Upon investigation, officers recovered a loaded .22 handgun from his right side waistband. Suspect did not have a valid concealed pistol license. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 13 at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the 9900 block of Beaconsfield, officers were patrolling the area when they observed two groups of people yelling at each other from a short distance. Officers heard one of the parties threaten to kill the other. The officers were advised by dispatch that someone was shooting in the area. Officers intervened and recovered a handgun from one of the suspects. The suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.
6th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 13 at approximately 9:15 a.m. in the 13000 block of Pierson, officers spoke with a 20 year old female victim, who stated as she was walking in the parking lot of a local business, a suspect grabbed her purse. The victim was able to fight the suspect off and the suspect fled to an awaiting black ford SUV, driven by a female with long hair. Officers made the location and observed the suspects standing in front of the described vehicle. The suspects were arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.
8th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 12 at approximately 1:10 p.m. in the 16500 block of Lesure, a narcotics crew executing a search warrant entered the location and observed the suspect seated at the dining room table in front of suspected narcotics. A Smith and Wesson 38.caliber blue steel revolver was recovered from the suspect’s pants pocket, three knotted baggies containing cocaine and one knotted bag of marijuana were also recovered. The suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing.
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 13 at approximately 9:25 p.m. in the area of Fenmore and St. Martins, officers stopped an occupied vehicle for loitering in the driveway of a vacant house. One suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended along with a handgun and 26 bags of suspected marijuana. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Detroit Detention Center without further incident.
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 12 at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the 15900 block of Coyle, officers were assisting with the execution of a narcotic search warrant at the location. Upon investigation, officers recovered one short barreled shotgun (approximately 12” barrel and sawed off at the stock), a handgun, several empty zip lock baggies used for packaging and selling marijuana from a closet and two rifles from the garage. While carrying the shotgun, the suspect informed the officers that he had just purchased the shotgun yesterday. Officers arrested the suspect for possession of a short barrel shotgun. The suspect was conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 12 at approximately 10 p.m. in the 19100 block of Ferguson, officers executed a search warrant at the location. Upon entry, officers observed the suspect making a tossing motion towards the vent and heard a loud metal object hitting the metal. Upon approach, the suspect fled to the rear of the location but was subsequently detained. After clearing the location, the officers recovered a black smith and Wesson .32 revolver from inside of the vent, a digital scale and numerous small baggies from the dining room table, and a clear plastic bag containing 18 ziplock bags of suspected marijuana from the suspect. The suspect was arrested for possession of suspected marijuana and felonious possession and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.
9th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 12 at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the 14000 block of Young, officers on routine patrol observed a blue Dodge parked in the driveway blocking the sidewalk of pedestrian traffic. Officers investigated vehicle and observed the suspect sitting in the back seat of the vehicle stuffing a handgun underneath the driver side seat. Officers escorted suspect from the vehicle and recovered the weapon. The suspect was questioned and unable to produce a valid concealed pistol license and was subsequently placed under arrest and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.
11th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 12 at approximately 1:55 p.m. in the 2000 block of Yacama, officers were on routine patrol checking a narcotic complaint of a vacant residence. The officers observed the suspect exit out of the side door of location, pull a handgun out of his right side pocket and attempt to throw it on the roof. As the weapon fell back down, the suspect fled back through the side door and the officers pursued and detained him inside of the location. Officers also observed a second suspect sitting in a chair and officers ordered the suspect to the ground and the second suspect was also detained. The weapon was recovered and both suspects were arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.
12th Precinct
CIRCUMSTANCES: On March 12 at approximately 1:35 p.m. in the 15000 block of Steel, a plain clothes unit was executing a search warrant when they observed the suspect running up stairs in the location. Officers followed the suspect, and observed the suspect reaching under a couch that he was sitting on. Officers’ detained the suspect and confiscated one clear plastic baggie of suspected cocaine and heroin. The suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.
