On April 14, The Detroit Housing Commission will hold a public hearing to discuss their 2014 Annual and Five Year Plan. The plan is now available for review at the following locations: DHC, Main Administrative Office, 1301 E. Jefferson, Detroit; DHC, Customer Service Center, 2211 Orleans, Detroit; Main Branch Public Library, Sociology and Economic Department, 5210 Woodward Avenue, Detroit.
The plan will also be available for review in manager’s offices of the following developments: Brewster Homes, Diggs Homes, Village of Parkside II, Village of Parkside IV, Smith Homes, State Fair, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Woodbridge Estates, Forest Park, Riverbend Tower, Sheridans I and II, Woodbridge Senior Village, Cornerstone Estates, Woodbridge Senior Enhanced, Emerald Springs and Gardenview Estates.
The Detroit Housing Commission (DHC) is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to conduct a Public Hearing, pursuant to Section 5A of the U.S. Housing Act of 1937 as amended (“The Public Housing Reform Act of 1988”). The purpose of this public hearing is to discuss the 2014 Annual and Five Year Plan.
The April 14 hearing, including a public comment portion, will take place at the DHC Administration Building at 1301 E. Jefferson Detroit, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The public is invited to present oral or written comments at the hearing. According to a statement, written comments must be received by the commission no later than 8:30 a.m. on April 14.
