Detroit Public Library, Detroit Historical Society commemorate the DPL’s 150th Anniversary

[new_royalslider id="24"] DPLDETROIT — The Detroit Public Library commemorates its upcoming 150th Anniversary with a new exhibition at the Detroit Historical Museum titled, The Detroit Public Library: 150 Years of Serving Detroit and Beyond. The new exhibit is currently on display until April 13 in the Museum’s Community Gallery and serves as a kick-off to the library’s Sesquicentennial celebration in 2015.  The exhibit, which opened Jan. 25, provides an overview of the library’s history while featuring some of its most treasured possessions of cultural, historical and literary significance.
