[new_royalslider id="21"] DETROIT —  The Second Annual Detroit Red Carpet Backyard BBQ took place Nov. 17 at Bert’s complex in Eastern Market. Chef Toney served up hot meals TO 10,000 hungry and low-income Michiganders. The event was created by entrepreneur, author and real estate specialist Robert Shumake with collaboration from the Coalition on Temporary Shelter, Transforming Life Group, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries and the CARICOM Caucus of Caribbean Ambassadors,  Michigan Black Chamber of Commerce, Abayomi Community Development Corporation,  UAW FORD, Senator Bert Johnson, Geometry Foundation, ChefToney Private Catering, Radio One and Rolling Out. — Staff report
